What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide in Virginia Beach is a human-based glucagon-like peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonist as an adjunct to reduce calorie diet and increase physical activity for chronic weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 and over OR 27 and higher along with a weight related medical condition (PCOS, menopause, etc.) Treatment consists of weekly subcutaneous injections with escalating dosage every 4 weeks until a maintenance dose level is reached.
In shorter terms, a signal is sent to your brain while using Semaglutide that says "I'm full". This slows down your digestive system and lowers your blood sugar, causing you to become full quicker and over all, lose weight!
With that said, due to the fact that you will not have much of an appetite it is important to be putting healthy, fibrous meals into your belly. Pricing for weight loss injections may vary at other locations but here at Cool Body Sculpting Center in Virginia Beach we offer a Month to Month- Recurring payment of $500 for 4 months OR a pay in full option (4 month commitment) at $1,850 (saving $400). According to Healthline, Semaglutide can be purchased online but recent findings have found that it can be dangerous, therefore it is recommended that you go through a licensed professional for it.
Are weight loss shots covered by insurance?
Some insurances do pay for weight loss injections but this is something that you would need to discuss with your own personal health insurance. Regardless, Cool Body Sculpting Center does not currently take insurance.
How can I qualify for Semaglutide?
To qualify, your BMI must be 30 or higher OR 27 and higher along with a weight related medical condition (PCOS, menopause, joint pain at night, can't sleep, etc.)
